Dayang (means wide goose) Qigong belongs to taoist Kunlum school originated from Jin Dynasty. It was being handed down secretly for 1,700 years. And the inheritor could only start to teach and pass on the exercises to next inheritor after 70 years old.

Grandmaster Yang Meijun learn Dayan Qigong at 13 from her grandfather, who happened to be the 26th generation inheritor of the school. Her grandfather told her that she should benefit mankind with the exercises. In her 70, the 27th inheritor, Grandmaster Yang witnessed the shortcoming in medical provision, she, therefore, honored her promise and begun to heal the sick and teach people Dayang Qigong at Xuanwu Park, Beijing in 1978.
National awards
Madam Yang’s become a famous in Qigong Healing, particularly after bringing life to a dying patient at Xuanwu Hospital who claimed to be hopeless by Doctor. At the same time, Dayan Qigong prevailed all over the nation as well as overseas. Grandmaster Yang received nervous awards from different health or community officials. 1997 and 1998 Dayan Qigong received awards of “the Chinese Health Vitalizing Method” and “Health Vitalizing Qigong” from “the Chinese National Sports Collecting Official” and “Bureau of National Sports” respectively.
Dayan Qigong Head Quarters (DYQG-HQ)
In 1982, Grandmaster Yang Meijun established her “Dayan Qigong Head Quarter” in Beijing. She headed the HeadQuarter until 2000, when she bequeathed the HeadQuarter to her close diciple Mr. Wang Teili. The respectful centenrina passed way at 105 on 23/7/2003.
